I love this excerpt from the book "Marley & Me" by John Grogan. It reminded me of my own golden fuzz ball when I first read the book two years ago:

"Was it possible for a dog -- any dog, but especially a nutty, wildly uncontrollable one like ours -- to point humans to the things that really mattered in life? I believed it was. Loyalty. Courage. Devotion. Simplicity. Joy. And the things that did not matter, too. A dog has no use for fancy cars or big homes or designer clothes. Status symbols mean nothing to him. A waterlogged stick will do just fine. A dog judges others not by their color or creed or class but who they are inside. A dog doesn't care if you are rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull. Give him your heart and he will give you his. It was really quite simple, and yet we humans, so much wiser and more sophisticated, have always had trouble figuring out what really counts and what does not."

One of the best books ever written.
I think you need to write a story about taking pics with your cell phone. Seriously, you're really good at it.
Heather, have you seen some of Grogan's newer books? There's a children's book and tween book based on the Marley story. They're pretty cute.
Jaime, thanks for the compliment!
No I have not. I did see an interview with him on the Today show discussing those books. I really should get them for my son.
Did you hear they may be making a movie based on Marley and Me???
Really? A movie? Yay! I'll have to Google that and read up. Thanks for letting me know! I saw Grogan and his family on the TV show "Dog Whisperer" with his new crazy yellow lab, Gracie. That was pretty funny. I've also e-mailed Grogan to tell him how much I enjoyed his book.
