On Friday, Brian & I finally had our carpet replaced. It was quite an ordeal, moving all of our furniture and belongings on the main floor of our house out into the garage or down to the basement and then moving it all back to its place. On Sunday night, things still aren't quite back to normal, but we'll get there soon.Pictured here is our ugly old carpet before the contractor hauled it to the dump. Good riddance!
Brian took the day off to help the contractor and made a few last improvements to the subfloor. The finished project is beautiful. We've been walking around all weekend enjoying the new carpet and padding. All the improvements from the past few weeks make the house feel remarkably different. It's a relief to see now how all of our hard work has paid off. Now it's time to move on and enjoy the holidays.I think Dakota agrees:
