On Tuesday, I hosted my sixth-annual Christmas card dinner party at my home. It wasn't nearly as fancy as last year's, which featured a house decked for the holidays, my yummy chicken stroganoff recipe and baked goods galore. I hadn't decorated yet and planned to wait until after the carpet project, and the various home projects have kept me from baking or making any other holiday preparations. So I kept it simple: Quizno's sandwiches, Taco Bell Fruitistas and a few other snacks, much provided by my guests.Janice & Mom brought their cards, and Jen stopped by with Kaden. It was a fun no-frills night that kept my tradition alive while allowing me to maintain my sanity. Talk about a Christmas compromise.
